Other Notes: At quiltmaker's death the family distributed over 100 quilts made by her., Quiltmaker's passion was for old patterns such as Flower Garden., Throughout her life quiltmaker loved to quilt. Everywhere she went she would carry a little bag with scissors, thread, needle, thimble, quilt pieces. She was an expert at cutting out quilt pieces from material until the only thing left would be strings. Quiltmaker remarked about how she and her mother would sew together small pieces to get a section large enough to make a quilt piece. Quiltmaker was the 7th of 11 children and learned to sew and quilt at an early age.
