Other Notes: Based on Mrs. Boehme's experience as a beginning quilter who undertook a major quilt project, she recommends that other beginners join a bee and get some expert advice. "I failed to do this," she notes, "and subsequently the quilting and applique stitching leave much to be desired. A quilt book is good for learning, but you need some expert criticism along the way.", The quiltmaker has received many requests for her unique blocks. One block, inscribed "Started July 1983 Completed 1985" depicts a woman in a chair quilting on her lab with a scrap basket at her feet., Mrs. Boehme notes that she has been called a compulsive quilter because "family visits do not interfere with my work."
Inscription: Started July 1983 Completed May 1985
