Other Notes: Miss Ima Hogg (1882-1975), a noted Texas decorative arts collector, philanthropist, and historic preservationist, donated the Winedale property and its historic structures and period furnishings to the University of Texas in 1967. This quilt is one of a number of quilts she gave to Winedale in the 1960s and 1970s. Few records exist on the provenance of these quilts, though we know that typically she purchased quilts and other decorative arts at auction and in antique stores in New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and Massachusetts during the 1960s. Miss Hogg donated this quilt to Winedale in 1967.
