Related Items/Publications: The creator of the quilt, Elizabeth Morrow Cowardin, born 7-11-1823 died 3-12-1912 gave it to her granddaughter, Verna Love.  Verna lived with her grandmother to finish school.  Verna was a school teacher for many years.  Verna Love married Ben Robb in 1933 in Colorado.  A few years before she died, she gave the quilt to her son, Ben M. and his wife Norma Jean Robb.  Verna died in 1985.
