description
Newspaper clipping from the Detroit Free Press. This was a series of patterns published every Sunday. They were part of the Nancy Page Quilt Club by Florence La Ganke and were printed full size for piecing, embroidery and applique. The name of the quilt is a new Alphabet Quilt. The first week was an illustration of a woman holding the Alphabet Quilt and a little girl admiring it. The patterns were published full size and printed every Sunday for 25 consecutive Sundays. Each pattern was an embroidered letter and an appliqued object illustrating the letter. You could also send for a leaflet of instructions to help make the quilt.
