C.1875-1900. #1 Variation of Tea Leaves (Rehmel 1026). 2 blocks, 12” square, 4 leaves in block. #2 Star of the East; Circle Star (Brackman 3808). 2 blocks, 11” square. #3 Wild Goose Chase & variation (Brackman 214; 816 variation). 3 strips, could be sashing. #4 Jacob’s Ladder (Rehmel 220). Stripes and prints. #5 Goose Tracks (Rehmel 306 variation). 12.5” square. #6 Log Cabin Basic Block; Courthouse Steps (Rehmel 593). Purple centers. #7 Stars Upon Stars (Rehmel 825). Purple centers with red,white and blue, 11” square. #8 Double Irish Chain (Brackman 2029). Fabric placement is different. 11.75” square. #9 Old Rugged Cross variation (Brackman 2801). Pattern has three triangle combinations, block on panel has six. Green and brown. 12.25” square. #10 World’s Puzzle (Rehmel 1449). Brown plaid with off-white ground. Name written on block appears to be “Retta Meech”. 12.25” square. #11 Wild Goose Chase (Rehmel 643). Brown solid polished cotton & brown print. 14” square. #12 Wild Goose Chase (Rehmel 642) Brown plaid with brown on white print, 10” square. #13 Double Nine Patch (Brackman 1606 a). Could be a purple print that has changed to brown with black & white. Center nine patch is orange and brown print. 14.25” square.
