Describe the sources of the quilt's materials:

This quilt was made from 2 separate pieces. The borders were probably originally a quilted petticoat; the center panel was added to the borders & then quilted, which is why the backing extends into the petticoat area. Note how it was quilted over to blend the design but with a different thread.
