Essay:
This quilt was inspired by another Stove Eye quilt in the collection of the Michigan State University Museum.
The reproduction was made in a similar palette to the original. To create greater texture within the quilt top, however, batiks, rather than solids, were used.
The pattern for this reproduction can be found in Great Lakes, Great Quilts.
