Describe anything about the history of the quilt that wasn't already recorded in a previous field:
This is a two room schoolhouse, Mr. Feldhusen teaches 4th-8th grade. When the teacher, Henry Feldhusen saw the school house block in Carol Doak's Paper Piecing book he requested it because he said it looked like Heikkenen School. The kids drafted patterns on graph paper so they could enlarge and reduce. We used sewing machines which was a first for many. After they made the blocks for Mr. Feldhusens quilt they drafted other blocks and made more blocks. Our incentive was that they get to do the project in place of their math class, because there was so much math involved in this project. This quilt took approx. 12 days
