I first began making a quilt as a solution to boredom when I was a teenager. I found that quilting is relaxing and the seemingly endless variety of design and color is fascinating. Making quilts is a way to satisfy the creativity within myself. Also, quiltmaking is a way of leaving something tangible of myself to future descendents.
