Essay:

This is a very well preserved ralli probably from the first half of the twentieth century. The dyes have faded to gentle tones. The appliqué blocks are placed in a diagonal pattern according to color. In many places the top layer of fabric has been worn through to reveal the color of the filling fabric. Many borders are used. Small pearl colored beads are randomly placed as embellishments. The back fabric is dyed dark green.
