This was the first quilt I ever made in my whole life but because I was born raised in Mason, Michigan and loved the state, I wanted to try my skill at something I knew nothing about. The quilt was also done in the colors of Michigans state flag. My husband in a Square dance caller and I am a round dance teacher.

This quilt I made was a kit offered by the National Square Dance Comm. You bought the material and a paper pattern with square dancers, the state of Michigan and the square and Round dance logo. Then it was up to me to figure out how to do it and make it.
