Biography of the quiltmaker?

Sally Dudley Tucker (October 17, 1797 - November 4, 1896) was born in Raymond, Rockingham County, New Hampshire to Moses Dudley, a farmer, and his wife Nancy Griffin. She married Barnard Tucker (1802-1868), a farmer, on March 10, 1820, and they settled on the Tucker family farm "some fifty rods (about 825 feet) from the old Dudley homestead, the next house east." Sally and Barnard had nine children: Philena, Moses D., James, John D., Anna L. (or Nancy), Sarah, Jane E. Isaac, and Helen. After her husband's death in 1868, Sally lived with her daughter Jane and her husband Frank Grant, a farmer, and their children "at the family home" (the Tucker farm?). According to her grandson, Frank Tucker, in her later years Sally broke her hip twice and was confined to a wheelchair. However “she would not be idle," so she knitted and quilted. For her children she made silk Log Cabin quilts, and for her grandchildren she made wool quilts. (This quilt is likely the one made for grandson Frank S. Tucker.) Sally Tucker died in November 1896, having lived in Raymond, New Hampshire all her life.
