Essay:
"Art is a reflection of the artist no matter which medium is used. Creating art with cloth adds a layer of history, texture, and familiarity that other methods can't. The colors and stories of the fabrics resonate with me. I get immense pleasure creating pieces that connect to the rich history of quilting including my own family history."

It is a small quilt pictures a French food market, and what appears to be a basket of green mangoes. The basket is black with red and yellow netting. The basket has white letters inscribed on it, "Brunch le dimanche" which means Sunday Brunch in French.
