"I've been exploring circles in black and white for the past year; how many ways can I do a circle in white on black (or black on white) using predominately textiles. This particular circle is white sand on black silk noil, stitched with black thread for additional texture. It fits the description of an art quilt because of the stitching holding the layers together."
