Features or notes about the quilt's appearance, materials, or construction:
Contemporary Chinese patchwork quilt, two sided. One side has 25 blocks of different sizes and techniques. Several are elaborately embroidered with designs of dragons and animals on blue cotton ground, others are made with brightly colored solid fabrics in utility blocks, and four blocks feature a round design with appliqued scenes of animals, with a sawtooth border. The other side has 81 multi-colorful blocks, pieced in a string style, and the center of each block has a 3-dimensional insect or amphibian, surrounded by embroidery. Both sides has a dark blue border.

Note from donor: Collected in Badaling District near Beijing. I think they were probably made 1995 or later. They were given to me by Christine Turner of DuPont, Washington, who collected them over many years.
