Needlework of various kinds has always interested me. I have done knitting, crocheting, crewel, rug hooking, needlepoint, cross stitch, and stenciling in addition to quilting.

My daughter's first twin bed after she moved out of her crib. It was also a sampler to improve my piecing ability and turned out to be a challenge in color distribution and balance. Piecing this really gave me a lot more confidence in my accuracy.

The blocks used are traditional designs. Tumbling blocks - Linnea's toys; Pine tree - evergreens in our yard; Flower Basket - our spring garden; Storm at Sea - my personal piecing utlimate challenge. The leftover material is being saved to use in a one-square-a-year memory quilt for Linnea.
