"An original design compiled from Victorian design components" How did you choose the materials used in your quilt? "I like the crispness and simplicity of solid-colored fabrics, and chose the colors of fabrics I found pleasing together. I chose cotton fabric for the quality I wanted." How long have you been making quilts? "Since 1973" How did you learn to quilt? "Self-taught." What was your primary reason for entering the Lands' End contest? Do you frequently enter your quilts in competition? "Personal recognition and goal." Has being a winner in the Land's End contest made a difference in your life? Has it changed the way you look at your work as a quilt maker? "I felt proud to be a recognized as a state winner. It made me feel my quilting was valid in competition."
