The following information was supplied by the quiltmaker: How did you choose the materials used in your quilt? "I was trying to copy the coloring of the old Balto. Album Quilts made 1840-1870." How long have you been making quilts? "14 years." How did you learn to quilt? "Took a quilting course." What was your primary reason for entering the Lands' End contest? Do you frequently enter your quilts in competition? "I entered because of the pressure by my quilting friends. I have never entered another contest." Has being a winner in the Land's End contest made a difference in your life? Has it changed the way you look at your work as a quilt maker? "It was a very uplifting experience. I have always felt that God gave me a special talent and I was thrilled to share the quilt with others."
