A box of blocks was given to Catherine after her maternal grandmoher was moved to Odebolt Nursing home. Marie Noll, daughter of Minnie and mother of Catherine, thought that Jennie Reed worked at the Milan, Missouri feed store. The Mt. Vernon Club could have been a Sullivan, MIssouri, Farm Bureau Club, Extension club, or Presbyterian club.
Description of quilt:
Twenty 12-inch blocks, joined with 3-inch sashing, finished with a 6-inch border. Pattern is an 8 pointed star with a blank circular center which is inscribed with a signature.
