Describe the quilting designs used:
Hexagon patches are shadow outline quilted in a random manner. Stitches are large size and uneven.
Features or notes about the quilt's appearance, materials, or construction:
Back and binding are made from the same peach pinstripe fabric. Each honeycomb is comprised of 25, 1.25 in. hexagons. All have yellow print centers surrounded by two rows of print hexagons. The pattern is diamond shaped and set on point. One row of white solid/plain hexagons separates each print honeycomb.

Mrs. Queeman, as a member of the Dorcas Society, made 600 quilts for an orphan's home operated by the Evangelical and Reformed Church in Bensenville/DuPage County, Illinois. She also provided dresses for the children there as well as for Native American children in northern Wisconsin.

Mrs. Sophie Queeman operated the West Side Curtain Shop in Milwaukee/Milwaukee County, Wisconsin with her sister. After her sister, Mrs. Frieda Lueder, died she continued the business from her home. In addition to sewing, she was a high scorer in a bowling league. Her parents, the Kuhlmans, lived in Milwaukee.
