Inscription 1 Name, address and telephone number Inscription 2 "From the sun dappled Lady of the Lake blocks in the center of this quilt and outward to the dark inky depths of Lake Michigan and all the colors in between. We have seen all these colors on the lake. It's amazing how many colors the lake can show us even in just one days time. This quilt was machine pieced and hand appliqued by Donna Karolus of Cleveland, Wisconsin in 2014. The quilt was quilted by Julia Rockwell of Graceful Stitches, St. Nazianz, Wisconsin. This quilt has 3,432 pieces. The quilt top and backing are 100% cotton. The batting is wool. (Quilters Dream Wool). The quilting is done with Superior Thread polyester. This pattern is by Barbara Engelking & Claudia Myers and was titled Lady of 10,000 Lakes. Donna J Karolus Quilt Care Machine wash warm in a large front loading machine on gentle cycle with cool/cold water. Do not use a machine that agitates. You may lay it flat on a bed to air dry or put it in a dryer on cool dry. Do not use a hot iron or steam. Please use Orvis Paste or other approved quilt cleaning product. It may be dry cleaned. Do not store this quilt in direct sunlight."

Inner hand appliqued striped border measures .25 in. wide. Pieced Checkerboard border set in Streak of Lightning design measures 18 in. wide. A saw tooth inner border of half-square triangles measures approx. 6 in. wide. Outer border varies in width; widest point measures 4 in. wide then tapers to .75 in wide in the corners because the pieced blocks extend into the borders.
