Describe the quilting designs used:
Grid/crosshatch hanging diamonds are hand quilted in the background of the embroidered squares and on the green/solid plain squares. The edge of the scalloped border has parallel rows of quilting that echoe the shape of the scallops. The two innermost rows form loops quilted with double parallel lines at the narrowest point of the scallop. A Fleur de lis motif is quilted in between the loops and in the corners of the top.
Features or notes about the quilt's appearance, materials, or construction:
The state names and corresponding flowers are hand embroidered on 24 blocks with cotton embroidery floss and the stem stitch. Some have details done with French Knots. The state names are embroidered with a golden brown cotton embroidery floss. The flowers are multi-colored.
