The entire quilt has hand quilted single parallel lines in an all over design. The square patches used to make the Double Nine-patch blocks are outline quilted in the ditch. The stitching is described as medium and uneven.

The quilt has embroidered initials but no date. Documentation staff did not write down what the initials were. The fabric used for the back is a Merrimac pink on white print. Overall the hand work is described as utilitarian.

The quilt was purchased in Wauwatosa/Milwaukee County Wisconsin, about 1969 from a woman who was selling the possessions of her deceased mother. The quilt was used by the owner's children on their beds at home and at college.
