Made by Mary Deloach Sneed of Waco, Texas, and it is machine quilted, using one of the earliest treadle sewing machines in Texas The donor indicates: "Quilt made by Mrs. Mary De Loach Sneed prior to 1850. She made and stuffed the baskets by hand, and stitched the white part on her new sewing machine- one of the first made after it was invented."
