Describe anything about the history of the quilt that wasn't already recorded in a previous field:

This is part of the Hilda (MoLee) Phillips collection. Quilt. "Christmas Holly" Hilda (MoLee) Phillips grew up in the Black Forest region near Colorado Springs, CO. She was born on December 25, 1921. She was one of eight children. They lived on a farm in the Black Forest. No one else in her family quilted so she taught herself to quilt-- she never had any formal training in quilting. Her late son was a great aid to her in the ideas and the making of her later art quilts. He always told her to "do her own thing" rather than follow someone else's pattern. She did ceramics and pottery for many years. She also started painting watercolors in 1986. HowAcquired:Donated to the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum by the maker and owner, Hilda (MoLee) Phillips of Lakewood, CO. Ownership/History: Made by Hilda (MoLee) Phillips of Lakewood, CO.
