Describe anything about the history of the quilt that wasn't already recorded in a previous field:

One of the original 101 quilts donated by Eugenia Mitchell of Golden, CO, to start the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum. This quilt is machine pieced of solid, striped, checked, flowered, and geometric fabrics in blue, yellow, and pink. The batting is polyester. The binding is the backing folded to the top with mitered corners. The quilt is hand quilted overall with the Baptist fan pattern, using white cotton thread. The stitching is uneven at about 4 stitches to the inch. The backing is machine pieced of off-white cotton thread. The quilt kit was purchased from Mickey Quilt Block Co. of Chicago, Illinois by Theodora Hartmeister of Paulina, Iowa in 1935. It was inherited by Eugenia Mitchell in 1942 and pieced in 1979. It was shown at Foothill Art Center in 1980. Ownership/History: Made by Eugenia Mitchell of Golden, CO, from a 1935 quilt kit produced by Mickey Quilt Block Co. of Chicago, Ill.
