One of the original 101 quilts donated by Eugenia Mitchell of Golden, CO, to start the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum. This quilt is machine pieced of solid fabrics in yellow and off-white, with gold sashing and off-white and gold borders. Each off-white block has embroidered on it a wildflower and a Bible verse. The batting is polyester. The binding is the backing folded to the front and hand attached with mitered corners. The quilt is hand quilted with swags, bows, tulip vine, and paisley shapes, using off-white cotton thread. The stitching is uneven at 3 to 5 stitches to the inch. The backing is machine pieced off-white cotton/polyester fabric. Ownership/History: Made by Eugenia Mitchell of Golden, CO, in 1981. LocMade: Golden///CO//USA
