One of the original 101 quilts donated by Eugenia Mitchell of Golden, CO, to start the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum. This quilt is machine pieced of red and white fabrics with a red border. The batting is polyester. The binding is the backing folded to the front with mitered corners. The quilt is hand quilted around the pattern pieces with teepees, fish, bows and arrows, deer, buffalo, and other animals, and with diamonds in the border. The quilting is uneven at 3 to 4 stitches to the inch, done with white cotton thread. The backing is machine pieced floral print cotton/polyester fabric. Quilted in the front corner in white thread is "Eugenia Mitchell April 3, 1981." Ownership/History: Made by Eugenia Mitchell of Golden, CO from a pattern she found on the inside cover of a book called "Creek Mary's Blood" by D. Brown. LocMade: Golden///CO//USA
