This very unusual two-sided quilt from the late 1800s features a friendship crazy top backed by 109 16-patch blocks with vertical sashing. Many of the blocks on the "front" are signed in ink with names or initials and dates ranging from March through June, 1889. HowAcquired: Donated to the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum by Anita Landess of Boulder, CO. Ownership/History: Maker unknown, although there are some signatures on the front. Purchased at an antique show in Illinois by Anita Landess. Fabrics in this double-sided quilt were used as inspiration for the Marcus Brothers Textiles Inc. Rocky Mountain Quilts 1880s reproduction fabrics by Judie Rothermel and The Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum, "Quilt Shoppe Collection". LocMade: unknown
