This quilt was made to commemorate the people of the Aurora Pres. Hosp. Ass'n. The 30 friendship blocks, each signed in embroidery, are made from mostly floral handkerchiefs appliqued onto off-white cotton fabric. The blocks are sashed, bordered and bound with a pink/white/lavender print cotton fabric. The blocks feature both hand- and machine-applique, and hand- and machine-embroidery, including over 5,000 French Knots. HowAcquired: Donated to the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum by the maker, Marjorie B. Johnson of Aurora, CO, on behalf of the Aurora Presbyterian Hospital Auxiliary Group. Ownership/History: Made by Marjorie Betty Johnson to celebrate the people of the Aurora Presbyterian Hospital Assocation. LocMade:
