This quilt was made by Bess Dickinson Appel (1887-1977). The established pattern name is French Bouquet - Hall 1935. The hexagons are cut from cotton fabrics, in yellow, white, assorted solids, and assorted prints (some of which are "fancy cut"). Bess signed the quilt on the front, embroidering with yellow thread, and dating it "4-11-36". The quilt is in excellent condition, with only a few small stains, and some fold lines. HowAcquired: Donated to the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum by Ella Appel of Boulder, CO. Ownership/History: Made by Bess Dickinson Appel on April 11, 1936. LocMade: unknown
