One of the original 101 quilts donated by Eugenia Mitchell of Golden, CO, to start the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum. This quilt is machine pieced from solid, striped, checkered, flowered, and geometric patterned fabrics in red, yellow, and pink. The batting is polyester. The binding is hand and machine attached printed bias with rounded corners. The quilt is hand quilted around the pattern pieces and in the sashing with geometric designs, using white cotton/polyester thread. The stitching is 5 stitches to the inch. The backing is machine pieced yellow and red print cotton. Ownership/History: Maker unknown. The quilt top was found in a scrapbag in Arkansas. Quilted in 1979. LocMade: unknown
