Describe anything about the history of the quilt that wasn't already recorded in a previous field:

One of the original 101 quilts donated by Eugenia Mitchell of Golden, CO, to start the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum. This quilt is hand pieced of solid, plaid, striped, flowered, geometric, and dotted fabrics in orange and multi-colors. The fabrics are all Japanese. The batting is polyester. The binding is hand and machine stitched white fabric with mitered corner. The quilt is tied with cotton embroidery thread. The backing is machine pieced lavendar polyester fabric. Mrs. Wall had hand-pieced and machine quilted quilts that she kept them in barrels. When she needed money, she would offer to sell one of her quilts to Eugenia Mitchell. Ownership/History: The quilt top, composed primarily of Japanese fabrics, was made by a Mrs. Wall in 1968, who then sold it to Eugenia Mitchell. Eugenia tied the quilt in 1970. According to Eugenia, Mrs. Wall was a quilter in Denver who stored her quilts in barrels and then sold them whenever she needed the money. LocMade: Denver///CO//USA
