Describe anything about the history of the quilt that wasn't already recorded in a previous field:
One of the original 101 quilts donated by Eugenia Mitchell of Golden, CO, to start the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum. This quilt is machine pieced of solid and flowered fabrics in yellow, purple, and brown, with a brown border. The batting is polyester. The binding is the top folded to the back and hand attached with mitered corners. The quilt is hand quilted around the pattern pieces and in the plain blocks with cross hatching. The quilting is uneven at 4 to 5 stitches to the inch, done with white cotton thread. The backing is machine pieced maroon and white print cotton. Ownership/History: The star blocks were made by Shirley Coffelt and pieced by Eugenia Mitchell. Quilting was done by Shirley Coffelt's cousin, Ms. Johnson. The numbers "87, 74, 75" in the maker's mark represent the women's ages at the time the quilt was made. LocMade: unknown
