One of the original 101 quilts donated by Eugenia Mitchell of Golden, CO, to start the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum. This quilt is hand pieced of solid, plaid, striped, checked, flowered, and geometric fabrics in green, off-white, and multi-colors, with green hexagons between the piecework "flowers." The batting is cotton. The binding is straight grain lavender cotton attached by hand and machine with straight corners. The quilt is hand quilted overall and outside the garden rows. The quilting is 6 to 8 stitches to the inch, done with white cotton thread. The backing is machine pieced white cotton. Ownership/History: Maker unknown. Purchased by Eugenia Mitchell in 1975 at "Quilts and Other Comforts" in Wheatridge, CO for $85. LocMade: unknown
