One of the original 101 quilts donated by Eugenia Mitchell of Golden, CO, to start the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum. This quilt is hand and machine pieced solid, plaid, striped, flowered, and geometric fabrics in blue and yellow. The top is appliqued to a yellow print border. The batting is a sheet blanket. The binding is bias yellow cotton, hand and machine attached with rounded corners. The quilt was quilted using a commercial machine. The backing is a wholecloth of white cotton. This quilt was purchased at the same time as the Panama Canal quilt top (RMQM accession PQ.1991.001.071). Ownership/History: Maker unknown. Purchased by Eugenia Mitchell at St. John's Episcopal Church, Denver, CO. LocMade: unknown
