One of the original 101 quilts donated by Eugenia Mitchell of Golden, CO, to start the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum. This quilt is hand and machine pieced from solid and flowered fabrics in purple and off-white with purple sashing. The batting is wool. The binding is the top folded to the back with straight corners. The quilt is hand quilted in the ditch. The quilting is uneven at 6 to 7stitches per inch, done with white cotton thread. The backing is machine pieced purple cotton. Ownership/History: Made in Leadville, CO, by Ella Dobson of Fairbanks, Alaska. Given to Eugenia Mitchell by Ella's daughter. LocMade: Leadville///CO//USA
