This quilt represents the quiltmaker's exploration through quiltmaking of two of the most common and beautiful wildflowers that bloom in the Texas Spring: the Bluebonnet (State Flower of Texas) and the Indian Paintbrush. These two wildflowers typically bloom together, presenting hillsides of red and blue that captivate. The quiltmaker suggests this in her graphic presentation through the use of prints and solid fabrics.
