This quilt contains hand-painted fabrics that give it a glow. Quiltmaker Pamela Studstill painted the fabrics, machine pieced the strips, then gave it to her mother Bettie Studstill to quilt. The entire quilt appears to be assorted blocks, strip pieced precisely and geometrically, with floating pieced strips apparently randomly flowing across the entire design, giving a lovely sense of upward movement.
