Cotton warp and background weft - wool pattern weft. Warp is much finer than tabby weft. Woven by owner's mother after owner finished weaving her own blanket in 1936 (see #5-0151) Whig rose overshot pattern. Maker sat up all night crocheting an edging around perimeter to have on bed when daughter came home from hospital with last child in 1947.
