There are thread tails on the back. Allover quilting includes three cho rows on edge of red stripes lengthwise except for both outside. Same around outside of star area, none on outside edges, stars outlined with a single row - 1/8" from star

Features or notes about the quilt's appearance, materials, or construction:

The star area is 28x33.25", the red and white stripes are 5.25-5 5/8" wide. The 5 point stars measure 4 - 4 7/8" point to point. The stars appear to have been basted with two threads of white sewing thread, then a close machine stitch was run very close to the edge of the stars without turning under the edges. There is fraying of the unfinished edges and some of the edges are partially or completely loose. The batting is missing on the right lengthwise edge in a slightly irregular area. On the left side lengthwise there is a thinning of the batting towards the edge approximately 8 3/8" to the edge. There are a few places in the rest of the quilt where there are irregular spots of no batting. The backing has 14 pieces and is another flag. The tip area has another single 5 point star sewn the same as the front stars.
