There are 72 plain triangles that have fancy quilt motifs in them, some are duplicated, but there are about 40 used, most of which are unique to this quilter.

Features or notes about the quilt's appearance, materials, or construction:

There are 72 pieced triangles and 72 plain triangles, plus 8 each of plain and pieced half triangles. The quilting in the solid triangles is the most spectacular feature of this quilt. Some shapes and patterns are very unique, others more standard, like clam shell. Note that the direction of the "sugarloaf" is reversed in the center of the quilt, creating an hourglass motif unlike the other 3 rows of stacked sugarloafs on each side.
