This quilt was made by the Oranje Quilters Guild to commemorate the centenary of the National Women's Memorial on 16 December 2013. The quilt was inspired by a Heritage Patchwork Quilt in the collection of the War Museum made by Hilletie Smuts in the Jacobs Concentration Camp during the Anglo-Boer War (1899-1902)
