The quilt was donated to No. 7 Castle Museum, South Africa by Mrs. Sarah Edgecombe, nee Troughton in 1987.

Wedding quilt made for Miss Edwards who lived in Oswego, New York State. She left there to live in Australia. No information as to how it came to be in South Africa.
