The previous owner of the quilt relates that she brought these items with her from Nova Scotia in 1967. They are believed to have been made by her great-grandmother "Grammie" Oates, who moved from her native Boston to live with her daughter in Shelbourne Nova Scotia. The items passed from the previous owner's grandmother Cordelia Bower, to the previous owner's mother, Dorothy Robertson.
