Describe anything about the history of the quilt that wasn't already recorded in a previous field:

"This quilt originated in Armoy, Balleymoney, Northern Ireland from cloth samples used by my uncle in his tailor shop. It was made by his sister (my Aunt) prior to the beginning of the Second World War in 1939. This information was given to me by her daughter (my cousin) who lives in Ballymena, Northern Ireland. The tailor shop was situated in the old home from where the family of nine children grew up beginning in the late 1800's. Attached is a photograph of the old home which I took while on a visit to Northern Ireland. The pieces of the quilt were hand stitched together with the herringbone stitch and the quilt was then backed with a used and slightly worn flannelette sheet. Quilts of that type were very heavy but did provide a great deal of comfort in sometimes cold bedrooms. This quilt came into my possess by way of another cousin and sister to the above. She had come to Calgary from Belfast, Northern Ireland to work at the General Hospital as registered nurse. She later met an Australian, married him and then they moved to Australia to make their home. Prior to her death in 1984, she sent the quilt to me from Australia as a keep sake of our family. This quilt has quite literally being around the world. I have now passed ownership of this quilt on to my daughter Judith Harper."
