This quilt was given to the OAAS and winner received $600.00. It competed at the Woodstock Fair which was the first step to becoming a grand champion winner. This quilt was the 7th annual Grand Champion Winner in 1985 for the Canada Packer Quilt Competition held in conjunction with the OAAS (Ontario Association of Agricultural Societies). The competition started in 1979 and completed in 1997. It is #7 of 19 quilts.

Describe anything about the history of the quilt that wasn't already recorded in a previous field:

One of 19 quilts purchased from various makers in recognition of a traditional continuing Canadian Craft. Each quilt came from a different district and was judged to become the grand champion for all Ontario districts.
