Maker was on graduation trip to visit grandparents. Quilt was enlarged at later time. It was quilted in Kansas. Grandmother said she would buy all quiltmaker wanted to make, so she made 12. Maker made her own designs, including an Indian design for sister in law. She made doll quilts when she was six or 8. Her grandmother quilted. Several quilts she made are worn out, and some not quilted. She won a dressmakers award in high school.
