Any other notes or stories about the quilt maker:
The Memory quilt was a fun one to do & and thrilled to be a part of the Documentation program for quilts. But this smaller pink petite is a nice change. At one point my husband and I were living in Ontario. I became interested in making quilts and my mother gave me pointers. I began with just blocks, and tried the crazy quilt way for baby quilts. But it was in the Eugene, OR days that I began to make many large crazy quilts, mostly for gifts. Some were entered in the county fair & won ribbons. Also, i did braided rugs with fabric scraps from a shirt factory across from Mother's home. I have since completed smaller crazy quilts. I still have scraps from some of my quilts.
